      Pros

      Wonderful coworkers and department supervisors, free parking, state-of-the-art laboratory with good ergonomics, decent benefits.

      Cons

      There's a culture of fear and intimidation prevalent at Northside hospital's laboratory in Cumming, GA. Management unfairly bullies laboratory staff. Employees are constantly stressed out about being disciplined for tiny mistakes not effecting patient care. Unrealistic expectations for new staff in regards to test turnaround times. Horrible cafeteria food. Very high turnover!

      Pros

      -some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

      Cons

      -low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
