Pros

There is always work to do.

Cons

Northside Hospital provided a $500 bonus due to the stress of the current pandemic season. However, if Employee Health says you were exposed to a Covid19 patient without the appropriate PPE because the hospital sent the patient up before test results you will need to stop working for two weeks. Human Resources calls that 'nonproductive' so they cut the bonus for those most affected down to $250. If you want to provide anonymous feedback, you are referred to call a local phone number for the hospital for an "anonymous conversation" rather than use a third party or even offer an electronic method of contact.

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
