Pros

Northside provides work/life balance that I haven't experienced with previous employers. There are many volunteer opportunities and ways get involved in the work place. Northside is also the most financially stable hospital in the Atlanta area, never laying off employees and offering a merit based raise each year.

Cons

Traffic near Atlanta campus in Sandy Spring/Dunwoody area is exhausting!

Student nurse extern

Pros

-some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
