Pros

During my time at Northwell Health, I was part of a culture that truly valued innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care. The environment promoted personal growth and teamwork, empowering us to bring forward ideas and make a meaningful difference in patient care. It was inspiring to work alongside colleagues who shared a commitment to excellence and improving lives in our community.

Cons

While I valued the collaborative and growth-oriented culture at Northwell Health, I decided to return to a previous employer in healthcare to pursue an opportunity that aligned closely with my career path and professional goals. My time at Northwell was rewarding, and I left with a deep appreciation for the supportive team and mission-driven environment.

Pros

Office setting; nice people, cafeteria

Cons

Overworked and severely underpaid, short staffed for the amount of patients they intake to the program (on the clinician side and administrative), very low pay for administrative workers, little to no real benefits (PTO is not front loaded but trickled in: 1 hour accumulated per pay period - it would take about 4 months to accumulate 1 full day of PTO. Sick time is a similar trickle system so you end up taking a lot of unpaid time until you can’t), due to that it’s impossible to not get burnt out. The union also hasn’t negotiated a good contract if these conditions exist for those at the basic level. Food in the cafeteria is not great and sometimes gives people the runs. Also it’s expensive (full price despite working for the org; they cannot even give discounts which is weird considering how much the CEO makes and how little we do). Feel abandoned and not properly compensated. Deeply exhausted.
