Working one on one and in small group with students to help them fill in learning gaps. A supportive environment where all staff is deeply invested in the welfare of each student as well as one another.

Drive time and salary were my only concerns.

Northwest R-1 School District constantly strives to stay abreast of current trends in education.

Northwest R-1 School District seems to be ruled by trends in education instead of creating a steadfast plan. This district is consumed with using the right tag words or programs of the moment in order to appear cutting edge. It seems that learning here is superficial and for teachers to recieve recognition they must make their classrooms/instruction 'look' the way administration and Central Office wants it to look and not do what they know to be best for each individual student and classroom.
