PAY - way below market value, in my particular case I received the highest remarks one can on their annual review and got a 1% raise while inflation is at an all time high. I did receive a solid bonus but that is not guaranteed year after year. Political - marketing higher ups all fighting to get their way, makes every task very difficult. A particular example is a marketing colleague was at too low of a position and was asked to not join a meeting in person but rather virtually. Stressful & cutthroat - tying into the politics, there is a very stressful and uneasy feeling to the department. Everyone is constantly blaming another team versus finding a solution. After leaving NM, it was very easy to see how much the stress was normalized. I would not recommend NM as a place to work. Save yourself the headache.
