Pros
A fairly easy job, I worked here for just over 1 year and a half. Simple repetitive daily tasks and goals that are very easy to get a hang of. The location I was at was one of the busiest in the county, so in peak season we kept busy which I did not mind. My coworkers and managers/shift leads were all fantastic and we were a tight knit group which made it a job I enjoyed going to and being at. An okay job for someone in college or who needs something part time, but the amount of work you'll be doing and the culture of the team your with will greatly differ between locations.
Cons
Not much room for promotion from within at all. This may just be the case at our location/due to it being a franchised location but it was constantly dismissed or ignored if you brought up the idea of being promoted or cross-trained. We went lost and hired (and ended up going through) about 5 managers within the span of less than a year. Turnover was crazy, due to our upper management's treatment of subordinates and the overall work environment causing people to leave. Management and shift leads are not treated fairly at all, some who had been there for years who knew everything seeing a great pay disparity from new hires who had the same title but did less than exceptional work. Communication between our GM and team was terrible, scheduled hours were often inconsistent, and it was impossible to get anything close to full-time hours as a GSR even if you had been there for quite some time.
