They typically stay out of your business as long as you do your job and follow the rules. There's plenty of freedom to teach the way you want to teach.
Cons
The curriculum is either outdated or non-existent. Textbooks contain the most recent information for the TAAS era. Administration makes decisions based off emotion. The principal either has no power or lacks the skills necessary to be a good principal. When sending students to the office for disciplinary referrals, they were sent right back without punishment.
