Pros

They have a very welcoming team, your voice gets heard because the team is small and the owner is open-minded. I got chances to participate in lots of decision-making parts even as an intern there, and was able to express my creative ideas without any pressure.

Cons

It is a new and small company, so things aren't yet as structured.

Pros

Although I'm just two weeks into my employment at Novastone I can tell that I'm going to be extremely happy there. Having left my previous position in search of a faster paced and more challenging role, I couldn't have found a more perfect fit. I've joined at a really exciting time, Novastone is growing quickly both in terms of staff and client numbers. Their success and fast growth means that every day I find myself as part of a highly skilled team working closely to overcome challenges, and to deliver for our clients. The company develop software using agile principles and kanban. Unlike at other companies I've worked for this is fully supported by the management team and there's a real desire to make sure that things are done properly. The product itself is an IM platform for the finance industry, it's been really rewarding to speak to clients who are all so excited about it, in a demo I was involved in a new client literally said: "wow, that's awesome!" over and over! I've found my line manager to be very supportive, always aware of what's going on and ready to help, without micro-managing. There's a nice workplace culture at Novastone, we have lunch together most days, drinks on Fridays and I already feel like part of the team.

Cons

There aren't many benefits but this is to be expected with a startup
