Pros
You can bring your dog to the office
Cons
First off, research actual Nuvet reviews. They have a history of writing fake reviews to boost their products, which are not FDA approved (it's been a while since I worked there--very briefly--so I forget the actual loophole they used to get around that, but I would not advise giving Nuvet products to your pets. I've heard stories of dogs getting violently sick, losing fur, etc.) It's an MLM, kickback scheme, whatever you want to call it. They will find clever ways of getting around that, but it is what it is. Basically, the account managers cold call a bunch of breeders around the country to join an "affiliate program" (ie MLM) where the breeders promote Nuvet to dog buyers and get a piece of commission if the buyer subscribes to Nuvet. They also encourage the breeders to be aggressive when pushing it, which I was not a fan of, which again, what did I really expect from pyramid schemes. There are people who do well financially there, but bear in mind you'll have to be a telemarketing slave for at least a year or two before you truly become an "account manager" rather than a glorified telemarketer. You still make a bunch of cold calls, but not as many. As far as management, they want you to be a robot. If you are more of a "farmer" or "relationship" type sales person, that will go out the window. They want you to be more of a "shark" sort of sales person and are very strict when it comes to how you pitch the product. That goes back to the loopholes they have to use about their products not being FDA approved bc they can be hit with a lawsuit for false advertising. Basically, if you have a soul and want to keep it, I would advise not working for this pyramid scheme of a company disguising itself as a legitimate business.
