Pros
The work environment is fast-paced, and straightforward. Gustavo is no BS editor-in-chief: you either hustle and work , or not. I started off as an intern about to graduate, and since they liked my work, they invited me back as a freelance contributor.
Everyone is very chill and down to earth. The paper calls out for what they think is wrong--a very strong voice with in-depth investigative coverage. As a photo/video journalist, there are many opportunities to showcase your own style of work and creativity. Assignments are first-come, first-served, with great feedback from the editors. What you put in, you get back.
Cons
Honestly, no cons come to mind.
