Pros

Benefits are OK but they will need to continue to upgrade these as more companies are becoming competitive in the Cleveland/Akron area employment market.

Cons

There have been a lot of changes over the past 5+ years at this company and not a lot of them in the right direction. The market is changing and they seem to constantly fall behind. There seems to be a major disconnect with this company especially between technology and product and then to everyone else in the entire company. Floors are divided. Everyone is working in their own worlds and this is a huge problem that needs to be addressed company-wide ASAP. Another issue with this company, and like so many other reviews have said, is pay. Higher level executives and managers are compensated well there`s no doubt in this but I was always turned down when trying to give my lower level and senior employees the salaries they deserve at market medium. There is no reason anyone with 10 or more years experience, college educated and excellent worker should be making any less than what they are worth in the market and this is a big reason why employees leave. I unfortunately agree with a lot of the other posts on here regarding the following There are employees in management and executive positions that are not leaders Bullying, nepotism, and favoritism DOES STILL exist HR is completely out of touch Poor compensation for non-managers Company claims to be Agile but is still Waterfall Communication across departments is terrible No room for advancement as managers and executives have it too good Products are outdated and customers are not happy

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're glad you're enjoying the flexibility that our FTO (Flex Time Off) policy offers — it's an important part of how we support work-life balance at OEC. We appreciate the feedback on the office environment as well. Creating a workspace that our teams enjoy spending time in matters to us, and input like yours helps us think about where we can make improvements. If you have specific ideas, we'd encourage you to share them with your local leadership or through our internal feedback channels — we're always listening. Thanks for being part of the OEC team!

Thank you for sharing your perspective — and for being part of the OEC team for over a decade. That kind of commitment speaks volumes, and we truly value your loyalty and contribution. It's great to hear that you find our teams engaged and that you feel the company is moving in a positive direction. That forward momentum is something we're proud of and committed to sustaining. We hear your feedback on communication, particularly around organisational changes. We know that how we communicate during times of transition matters deeply, and it's something we are continuously working to improve — our people deserve transparency and clarity, especially in difficult moments. Your input on compensation is also noted; we regularly review our compensation practices to ensure we remain competitive and fair. Thank you for your honesty and for helping us grow. Feedback from long-standing team members like you carries real weight, and we encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts through our internal channels as well.
