Pros
The employees, especially other engineers, are great people. Very sharp and happy to share their knowledge. Most people have been there for decades. So their knowledge of the products and the industry is extensive.
Cons
Most people I spoke with expressed unhappiness with the company. It is family-owned, which is great. But it is quite dysfunctional: the owners (4 siblings) effectively do not even speak. And they have carved up the company into fiefdoms which often compete and undercut each other. Unrelated: the company has 2 types of employees: hourly (on the factory floor) and salary (engineers, mgmt, etc). Yet, they treat ALL employees like hourly workers, which is insulting to salaried professionals who have been in corporate America for years. Examples: 1) everyone must clock in/out. 2) tardiness/time off greater than 15 minutes must be approved by manager in writing. Really?! It felt a bit like grade school. They don't trust their employees to do the right thing.
