Pros
I've worked at OKAKI for almost 6 years. I couldn't have picked a better boss and co-workers if I tried.
The negative review for this company was posted by a disgruntled former employee who was let go for not performing her expected duties. And as for the comment about being "an old boys club" - that is rediculous. I'm female and lead the analytic team, and there are other female employees here who are also respected and have positions of authority.
The CEO understands that to keep good employees, they need to be challenged, participate in rewarding work, feel valued and be paid well. We have all those things. He provides us with opportunites for continued learning, to attend conferences, gain leadership, have interesting and fulfilling work, and praises us when we've reached a milestone. I can't overemphasize how great of a leader our CEO is.
The clients I get to work with in my position are great people and they appreciate our work and efforts.
My position involves working mostly from home at this time. I love this because I have young kids and less travel time means I am less rushed in the morning to get my kids to daycare and don't have to pick them up late at the end of every day.
I truly feel part of an amazing team and that the work we do is making a large and positive impact on the health of Albertans (and hopefully many more Canadians in the near future).
Cons
None off the top of my head.
