Pros

1. Only one thing stands out - $20 for lunch and $25 for dinner after 7pm. 2. Salary wise might seem “good” - but if you look at a per hour rate, it’s actually not worth your time.

Cons

Let me preface this - All the negative reviews here are true. No one will spend time coming here to write negative reviews for fun. 1. Chinese culture - Top down, zero questions asked - Upper management decides everything, whether it’s actually good for the users or the business. - No questions are to be asked regarding decisions, you are to be a yes man. - If you do challenge them, be aware that you will be blacklisted and be seen as not a “team player”. - Most of the middle management/leaders are clueless about what’s happening on the ground and also don’t know what it’s like to be the ones executing. - Basically you are a modern slave that has to dedicate your life to the company 24/7. 2. Overworked - especially for juniors TAKE NOTE - Almost akin to 996 culture. - Zero respect for time out of office/work - as long as you are needed, they will call you, until you pick up. (They will call you when you are on leave too.) - Depending on your work, you might have to stay up late to finish your tasks, which is not worth it by the way, they ain’t paying you more for overtime. - No pay increment UNLESS YOU ARE PROMOTED. 3. Random layoffs - happens every half a year by the way - Company cuts 10% - 20% every half a year while they hire throughout the year, a very UNETHICAL HR strategy to recycle people, treating employees just like a number. - Layoffs happen without any specific reason - whether in good times or bad times, and there are no performance improvement plans in place. - Zero mentorship for juniors by the way, and you have to pick up everything yourself or you are next in line to be cut. 4.Heavy Politics - A lot of people at the top are early joiners of the company or are very good at talking, not because they are actually good. - You basically have to bootlick your way up and not based on your merit. - A lot of internal “fighting” where teams are just trying to make sure their work doesn’t get stolen by other teams. TLDR - Avoid at all cost to save your sanity. Also, you have to read and speak Chinese 90% of your time here - they’ve been saying they want to become globalised for years but don’t believe them. Some things never and would not change.

Pros

- Complimentary food and drinks in the office - Some co-workers are working hard and friendly - Hybrid work that can work 2 days from home

Cons

- The company experienced hiring followed by layoffs, which raised concerns about workforce planning. - No severance package, career transition assistance, or visa support was provided following the layoff, which negatively impacted the perception of the company's employee culture. - There was a tendency to assign blame rather than focus on collaborative problem-solving.
