Pros

I initially was apprehensive about joining a company that seemingly had lots of red flags; work/life balance, shaky industry, less than stellar glassdoor reviews, the list goes on. What i've learned is that finding an industry and finding work that align with your interests and passions can be a remedy for a lot of these negative attributes. While I don't suggest you compromise on your own personal values or allow any job to overstep your personal goals and boundaries, I have learned that sometimes you can land in a role that exceeds your expectations despite how the opportunity presents itself.

Cons

The benefits/overall culture of the place is pretty subpar. Considering that we are a company that is supposedly pushing the boundaries of global financial technology, the company operates more like a behemoth from the early aughts. The tools and technology that this company chooses to use are mid tier products. Is this due to prudent minds or a representation of the lack of consideration?

Pros

- Complimentary food and drinks in the office - Some co-workers are working hard and friendly - Hybrid work that can work 2 days from home

Cons

- The company experienced hiring followed by layoffs, which raised concerns about workforce planning. - No severance package, career transition assistance, or visa support was provided following the layoff, which negatively impacted the perception of the company's employee culture. - There was a tendency to assign blame rather than focus on collaborative problem-solving.
