Pros

Nothing. Required to learn from real big tech, international company.

Cons

1. Experience the intricacies of Chinese politics within the industry. Indirect communication, nonsensical performance reviews, and sudden terminations are common. 2. Collaborating with a less experienced and immature team manager. 3. Nepotism runs rampant with friends being favored for team positions, fostering a culture of internal politics within the department. 4. Lack of adequate training opportunities. 5. Absence of camaraderie among teammates. 6. Team manager fails to foster a sense of unity, resorting to blame-shifting and feigning busyness with fake meetings. Communication is inconsistent, with sudden cancellations and rescheduling to monitor team members. 7. Instances of rude and immature behavior, especially during terminations where team meetings are abruptly canceled, denying opportunities for communication. 8. Lack of clear direction from management, with tasks being assigned without proper guidance. 9. Communication is often immature and hindered by poor English proficiency.

Pros

- Complimentary food and drinks in the office - Some co-workers are working hard and friendly - Hybrid work that can work 2 days from home

Cons

- The company experienced hiring followed by layoffs, which raised concerns about workforce planning. - No severance package, career transition assistance, or visa support was provided following the layoff, which negatively impacted the perception of the company's employee culture. - There was a tendency to assign blame rather than focus on collaborative problem-solving.
