Pros
Before a mass exodus in early 2023 due to senior leadership’s incompetence, this used to be a great place to work: great colleagues, very collaborative and supportive environment, and at times challenging, but interesting work.
Cons
The new senior leadership has had a detrimental impact on the biostatistics group and has created a toxic work environment through their favoritism, lack of understanding of some basic tech processes, lack of self-awareness, leadership skills and real business experience . It's also concerning that the DEI issues have gone south instead of improving with the new chiefs. I don’t feel valued as an employee. It wasn’t always like this and seeing this change has been sad. It’s particularly disheartening to see some women leaders, who like to give speeches about empowering other women in tech and writing blog posts about it, do the exact opposite in real life. Lastly — my personal pet peeve — I appreciated focus on short meetings that allowed me to do my work. With the new leadership — long, frequent, mostly useless meetings and the corporate spiels / gobbledygook are back.
