Pros

Between the individual teams, there's a very collaborative atmosphere. It was easy to approach other colleagues to discuss ideas or troubleshoot issues.

Cons

There is a major issue with some groups getting full support from leadership, whereas others bear the full brunt of their frustrations. The company has tried the Cheesecake Factory approach: have an immense and diverse selection of products, but when delivered are all mediocre or worse. The pay is under the industry standard, there's a lack of promoting within, and the benefits are not great ($500 tuition reimbursement? Cool, that will cover the cost of a book). Furthermore, there is an inherent lack of empathy from leadership as everything comes down to how it affects the bottom line. Case in point: after a round of lay-offs, they had the audacity in the next company meeting to celebrate that cash burn and employee costs had gone down. Like we were supposed to celebrate the increased workloads and our colleagues losing their jobs because it helped the company. The research world is competitive and not always the easiest, but this place chooses to shoot itself in the foot at every turn. Save yourself the headache.

Pros

Inspiring to work with very talented and ambitious colleagues. As a company we are really trying to be innovative and be leaders in this space

Cons

Fast paced and turnover seems to be high which makes you need to constantly adapt. I do think that’s just the nature of this industry though
