Pros
Majority of staff are friendly and easy to get along with.
If you have children you get prioritised for holidays
Cons
Used to be a lot nicer to work there, since mergers there is less flexibility, less benefits, less bonus. Management as a whole frown upon WFH and assume you're not working, so will check on you constantly. Holidays are given to families as a priority, so make sure you check with the mum's and dad's in the department before you plan anything!
You will be told your job is very important but also you're not worth what you're being paid, so you should be grateful for what you're getting. Also departments are stretched so look forward to covering for holidays/ sickness as managers don't actually know how the day to day runs. Management are in the opinion that you're below them on the socioeconomic scale, you should be grateful you exist in their presence.
