Pros
- The mission is truly inspiring – program work is sustainable, tech-forward and meaningful - Lots of great talent and team members - Managers/supervisors are the backbones of support for the organization, they are the ones providing opportunities for team members not leadership.
Cons
- CEO lacks a holistic vision for the company, executes ideas without communicating and considering the outcomes, does not respect or value junior employees - All teams are overworked and underpaid, employees are typically doing the work of 2 people - Orbis can not retain good talent because of the terrible work culture. People stay because of the mission and settle for mistreatment - Diversity is a token for Orbis, it is not something the organization actually values. There is a complete lack of commitment and communication on the DEI work Orbis claims to be doing. It's clearly a check-box management hopes to tick without any real action - CEO does not value institutional knowledge - Could be fired for "doing your job too well"
