Pros
I’m a current employee and joined the company about a year and a half ago. My experience has been positive and I think that’s largely because, when I interviewed, people were honest with me about what to expect. OS33 isn’t large, super-matrixed or highly corporate – which is to say, it isn’t fussy or stodgy or slow. Management acts quickly and the company is innovative. It’s also lean. If you have a diverse skill set and want to stretch yourself, you will have ample opportunity to do so. If you prefer to “stay in your lane” or to only do the job that’s been described on paper, you’re going to find it challenging. Because of its size, management knows their employees and stays close to the ground. Your work will be noticed and your contributions will be recognized. On the flip side, you won’t be able to hide a poor performance. Overall, I think there’s been a realization, at the executive level, that they need to balance their drive to grow revenue with thoughtful investment in organizational maturity. Ultimately, I think the people who do best here are conscientious, curious and adaptable. It helps to be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change. People take pride in their jobs. We all believe in the value the product we make. My colleagues are friendly and responsive. Management is humane. I think it’s a great place to work.
Cons
It will be challenging to work here if you're not comfortable with change or prefer a buttoned up, everything-in-its-place, corporate culture.
