Get to plan your schedule a week in advance If you're looking for a second job (part or full time), or are desperately looking for work in Brevard county then it's a workable arrangement.

Your job entails calling hundreds of people a day (via random automated dialer in the computer) and persuading them to take surveys, questionnaires and opinion polls. As you probably know just by reading this, 90% of the respondents either hang up, tell you to stop calling or scream at you for interrupting them or their families at home. You still have a daily quota to reach. If not, you get punished with early shift dismissals and or being laid off later on. Supervisors treat you like garbage, they'll even recycle numbers of folks who've already asked not to be bothered again. You, the call agent are fodder for angry respondants not the supervisors in most cases. Supervisors and upper managment even break laws forbidding calls after 9-10 pm if they need deadlines met. Most of the political opinion questionnaires are heavily biased, not to mention very probing and obnoxious to someone not anticipating the call. As a call agent, you are less than human to the company and even the supervisors. They even compelled people to work after a toilet stoppage had flooded the work area carpet and the carpet wasn't cleaned til 2-3 week later. The salary is minimum wage, and the company treats you accordingly. Seasonal layoffs and unexplained firings are common. The company gets tax breaks for hiring new people ever 3-5 months and more so if they hire retirees,migrant workers, felons and unskilled young workers.
