Context: Students can gain experience in all facets of the food and beverage industry through TAP, a one-year internship that includes FOH, BOH, finance, marketing, and human resources. I’ve learned how crucial teamwork and communication are in running a successful operation. The program’s structure allows me to rotate through different departments, ensuring that I understand how each facet contributes to the overall success of the company. This comprehensive approach has not only equipped me with diverse skills but also taught me the importance of adaptability and continuous learning. The mentorship aspect of the internship has been particularly invaluable. Working alongside seasoned professionals who are passionate about what they do has inspired me and provided insights that go beyond textbooks. Their dedication and attention to detail have set a high standard for my own work ethic and ambitions. Ultimately, this internship has not only enhanced my professional skills but also given me a clearer vision of the career path I wish to pursue. I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to applying these experiences in future endeavours, confident that the foundation I’m building now will support my aspirations in the food and beverage industry.
