Pros

This job started as a wonderful creative job with awesome teammates. So, the pros of the job are definitely some of the people you will meet, encouragement to be creative, and decent health benefits. If all you have in your life is your work, you’ll be very happy here.

Cons

The company has devolved into a disjointed disorganized mess. Clique culture and passive aggressive communication between teams with false transparency and bizarre decision making from upper management. Messy multi-piece job descriptions. Numbers and goals to hit that aren't based in any sort of reality or realistic projections. "Flexible schedule" actually means that your life needs to be flexible around the demands of the job and of the guests that book with Oasis. Constantly attached to your (personal, non-reimbursed) cell phone. No one managing or making major decisions listens to any of the on-the-ground suggestions from the teams actually running each destination about how to make things more simple or straightforward. Regularly done company shake-ups will change your teams, managers, and focuses, putting people into positions that they aren't qualified for with no plan in place to cover the work of laid-off employees. No advancement opportunities. Disorganized overly complicated software systems that kill productivity.

Pros

Oasis gives its employees lots of freedom to define their own workday, generate ideas, and take risks in a controlled environment. Their decentralized structure leaves a lot of responsibility in the hands of its regional team, which is perfect for any self-starter. They don't sweat the small stuff. Senior Management is extremely supportive. They genuinely care about their employees (The CEO thinks of the company as family) and do everything possible to set their teams up for success. Team members who perform well and are good collaborators are promoted quickly through the company. Team members who don't perform well are given ample opportunity to prove themselves before being let go. The job is never easy, but it is always rewarding. What Oasis can't offer in compensation they more than make up for in environment.

Cons

With decentralized leadership, communication can sometimes be a challenge. The company is constantly evolving, meaning changes happen frequently. When they do, it can sometimes take a while for news of it to filter through the ranks.
