Pros

- Product and industry are worth being motivated for - Vote of confidence by leading investors - Inclusive and welcoming team dynamic - Humorous and intelligent co-workers that are excited to get to know you - Co-workers are from all over the U.S. and abroad. There is an opportunity to feel like you're getting some diversity in culture despite OC being quite the opposite - Capable leadership that want to iterate and get it right quickly - Management team cares about their employees and consider suggestions seriously - The company cares deeply about privacy and data ethics; it practices what it preaches - Pay is competitive

Cons

- Office location is quite difficult for people who do not enjoy the surf/hike/ski lifestyle - Could do with a bigger HR team so that operational staff are not overstretched - Some difficulty getting HR questions answered like correcting insurance numbers or getting 401Ks set up - Inconsistent messaging around WFH policies, it largely depends on your manager - Unlimited PTO is a little tricky to manage, especially when there is always work to be done. You don't want to be the person taking off when others don't.

Pros

The total addressable market for Obsidian is exceptional. The organization's focus on third-party security, combined with its Agentic AI Security solution, presents a compelling opportunity to sell a differentiated offering that every Fortune 2000 company needs. For individual contributors seeking meaningful impact and a hands-on role, this is an outstanding place to work — with strong earning potential to match.

Cons

Leadership's deep passion for the mission can occasionally come across as intense, but that drive is a feature, not a flaw. A committed executive team focused on building something meaningful is far preferable to one simply coasting toward an exit.

Pros

I've carried a bag at a lot of companies. Nothing comes close to what's been built here — and it starts with leadership that actually gets it. Our CRO, Brian Murphy, is the real deal. He leads with clarity, conviction, and a genuine respect for the people on the front lines. Brian doesn't just set targets and disappear — he's in the trenches with you, removing blockers, elevating the team, and making sure every rep has what they need to win. You feel supported from the top down in a way that's incredibly rare in sales organizations. The culture he's built is one where accountability and trust go hand in hand. On the go-to-market side, Alison Tierney's Global GTM Strategy is truly best-in-class. The alignment between sales, marketing, and the broader business is something I've never experienced anywhere else. Alison brings a level of strategic rigor and cross-functional coordination that means we're not just selling — we're winning the right deals, in the right markets, with the right message. It makes a massive difference when you're out there talking to customers. The impact you can make here as a sales professional is unmatched. Real deals, real revenue, and work that visibly moves the company forward. If you're serious about your sales career and want to be part of something special, this is the place.

Cons

None that I can think of
