Pros

I would love to say there are pros to this job but I'd be lying. the only pro to the job was that it was in walking distance to my home but apart from that, this is not somewhere you would want to spend more than 3 months at. Negative energy from the so called managers who are selfish and don't offer much support or help. The list is long honestly

Cons

Poor pay, no longer pay weekly which is a shame! If you get a parking ticket don't expect the company to support you. They'll pretend to protest the ticket which takes them a few months, within that time u've lost the opportunity to pay the half price within the first 14 days which they have the cheek to deduct it from your wages. The routes are terrible with awful sat nav systems, sometimes don't charge or even have connection and they expect you to use your phone as sat nav or bring a separate sat nav system which is shocking. A lot of vans don't have decent air con during summer nor do they have heating during winter. No bluetooth in the vans and the radio barely works in half the vans. You work a 10 hour shift starting between 5.30am - 6am and it is split into two halves of delivery. Imagine delivering up to 900kg worth of groceries in 19 drops by 9.30am to come back to your depot to get your van reloaded to do it all over again! it's ridiculous. They work you like a dog and this is all within time slots, baring in mind that if you're going to be running late they expect you to contact the customer as if you are busy enough preparing for your next drop. The vans are equipped with cameras and a driving scheme that expects you drive like a robot. its measured by a points system that watches your every move, even yawning will get you points and if you reach a certain limit you'll be called in for a meeting with one of the managers to be assessed. You won't enjoy driving those vans I promise you, they are usually dirty and rarely cleaned. A lot of deliveries are in flats and as you can imagine the lift won't be working in half of these flats or they may not have a lift. You're expected to climb those stairs with the groceries to the customer door and inside to their kitchens. The trolly won't be your friend I promise you, even getting it in and out the van is an issue because a certain company wants to be cheap and use old bulky trollies. Overall this is one of the worth delivery jobs you can do, better off working for amazon, Iceland or Tesco. At least the deliveries are organised in better timeslots and have a lot safe and up to date vans.

Pros

The salary is decent and the hours are okay

Cons

The company is lacking in the organization as a whole. With a lot more cohesiveness it can be a great company to work for.
