Pros

Hires some immensely talented individuals with an equally amazing personality.

Cons

Lots of buzz words without much substance to back it. Upper management loves to throw around the word "ohana" to describe our company when in reality, everyone is grossly underpaid and is constantly under pressure to put in many extra hours of work without any type of reward or acknowledgement for it. HR isn't even your ally. I've heard from many separate personal accounts that when they went to HR with their issues, they were met with very questionable advice and indifference. I experienced the same and it was very disheartening to hear these accounts without having even prompted the conversation. There is no typical yearly pay raise. Instead, you are expected to wait till a specific time of the year where it is convenient for them to do a company-wide assessment for the employees. After working for well over a year, I had decided to leave before hitting the point where I would receive my assessment. If I had waited longer, I would have waited close to 2 years of employment at an entry level position with no raise. Speaking on behalf of a colleague, they gave them way below their typical entry level engineer wage ($60k) when they had already been working there for multiple years. Every attempt at a plea for a raise was denied. To top it all off, there is parking within the building but only upper management has paid for stalls in it. Everyone else is required to source parking elsewhere paying usually $200 upwards a month. The rest of the stalls within the building mostly lie vacant.
