Pros
Was wonderful that they were flexible with having a researcher working remotely - this meant that I could live abroad and pursue language studies. They would send in a project and I would research and broker contracts for them, then email back with my work. Quite a smooth process.
Cons
No cons really. It was an ideal set-up for me - the only issues were from my side living abroad in an area where the internet access was often problematic, especially in the run-up to politically sensitive events. That and the blocked access to gmail (until I found a way around it) added confusion but that's it.
