Pros

It used to be a business that really cared about its staff, with people and looking after them at the heart of the business

Cons

Over the last few years people have become less and less important, with only profit and financial metrics mattering to the at the top. As a result staff turnover has grown and grown, followed now by widespread redundancies in a desperate attempt to cut costs and put even more in the pockets of our glorious leaders

Old Mill Response

We are very sorry that you feel as you do and can fully understand why the regrettable action taken on 4 June feels so uncaring. We have not had to make such a decision for over 30 years at Old Mill and did so with much regret for the 25 people most affected. We are now very much in ‘reset’ mode working with our people to ensure that they and our clients remain at the heart of everything we do.

Pros

Incredibly flexible, especially for working parents. A lot of special events - ice cream van hired in the summer, parties, days out, lots of lunches! Hybrid working options; 3 days per week in the office, 2 days per week from home. Generous annual leave allowance. Exam financial support, plus a bonus if you pass. Charity fundraisers to participate in. Employee and team recognition awards. Annual performance and growth bonus. Constant communication from upper management, partners and the CEO to keep you in the loop. Annual personal performance based pay increase.

Cons

At times, the workload can be an increase a lot, but this won’t affect start/finish times.
