Lack of staff recognition when staff members were praised in the customer feedback surveys, which was hugely disappointing. Lack of investment in staff training and coaching about products. Some staff were disorganised and left their mess behind. No progression chat / development chat / role expansion / skill development opportunities. Till systems were a bit backwards and slow at times. A lot of manual tasks / manual lifting / repetitive processes. Cold, wet and damp back of house / staff room. Overly bright, overstimulating shop floor lights. Unrealistic sales targets.
