Work life balance at SO challenging - small business mindset, small business headcount and structure - but actually a medium sized business. Lots of us log on at weekends to catch up on work or go through emails on our phones (personal phones as we dont get work phones!) on a Saturday / Sunday (not paid extra or get time back), work 10-12 hour days (paid for 8) - bear in mind store teams would get overtime for the extra they do. And when in the office, cannot get away from my desk to take a lunch break - barely get time to heat lunch up! Love working at OB but the burnout is getting too much, and I havent come across a team that isnt feeling that way. There have been very little leavers in the more senior positions in the business over the past few years which means progression has become very limited on most areas, and there can be a lack of fresh ideas and ways of working in senior leaders. Theres very much a sense of "we have always done it that way" and this way of thinking is not going to keep pushing the business in an upwards direction
