Pros

No HR, salad for days, no personal desk space, very flat organization.

Cons

no real autonomy in work, no clear avenues for career progression, very little cross-team collaboration, managerial memes and handwaves instead of actual change or improvement.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am really sorry that your experience at Omada hasn’t leant you the managerial support and career progression that you are (rightfully) seeking. Our People and Culture Team is currently working on two projects that we’re hoping will address your major concerns. First, we recently implemented weekly trainings to teach Omada’s managers how to listen with open ears and empower those who they manage. We plan on continuing and growing these manager trainings to ensure that each employee gets what he/she needs to thrive. Secondly, we are implementing a new performance evaluation process this fall. The goal of this system is to create clearer avenues for career progression, and to allow for ongoing feedback across the organization (peer to peer, manager to direct report, direct report to manager, etc.). I know there’s a lot to do, and appreciate your advice on how we can accomplish it! Feel free to email people@omadahealth.com if you have any additional questions or comments. Hope you’ll stay along for the ride! Sean

Pros

Lots of smart people, great mission, digital health company that's balancing clinical evidence with tech growth.

Cons

Less of a con, more of a heads up to make sure your role is truly valued during the interview process. Try to gauge how much cross-functional buy-in is needed for you to have impact. As with most startups, layoffs happen and if you're struggling to get projects started because there's no internal support, your role is at risk.
