Pros

Culture amongst the health coaches and other teams. is positive, inviting, and supportive. The work we do is deeply impactful in healthcare. My teams, managers, and leadership are incredible human beings, and I genuinely feel heard and have a lot of trust in them all. I align very closely with all each Omada's values.

Cons

Coaches and other member facing employees often do not get salaries and have fluctuating hours, and this was a change that was made without coaches asking for it. While balancing near 40 hours on average for the year has been an expressed goal, there isn't much transparency on how we're doing toward that. It is also very disruptive to our lives for extended periods of the year. It requires overtime AND "under"time where folks are making significantly less than they need and deserve for months on end. Even if you save that OT money, it's exhausting and can make people feel under valued. If leadership changes this to maximize pay stability at the health coach role, this would take Omada through the stratosphere because EVERYTHING else at the company is the BEST place I have ever worked!

Pros

Lots of smart people, great mission, digital health company that's balancing clinical evidence with tech growth.

Cons

Less of a con, more of a heads up to make sure your role is truly valued during the interview process. Try to gauge how much cross-functional buy-in is needed for you to have impact. As with most startups, layoffs happen and if you're struggling to get projects started because there's no internal support, your role is at risk.
