Pros

The people are largely amazing. They're creative and smart. The office is beautiful, comfortable and very easy to get to on transit. Dog-friendly with catered salad every day (get in early before the avocado disappears) and a warm meal Friday.

Cons

-Management and execs are very smart and creative, but has little patience for those who need to learn and very little time to teach. Most managers are first-time or relatively new managers, which is great experience for them, but has been rocky for those they manage. -No high-level HR representation. HR lead is currently being handled by another leader with another high-ranking title. It's hard to get issues handled in a timely matter as this person's time is split between two large roles. It's hard to see a company with so many bright people not have a people-focused leader to turn to with questions and concerns. -Below market-rate pay for most positions, not much ability to negotiate or ask for a raise or cost-of-living increase. -A strange environment of people who grand-stand in meetings and won't let others get a word in edgewise, people who have been hired without interviews and people who have worked hard for one or more years at the company without a proper review or compensation adjustment until late.

Pros

Lots of smart people, great mission, digital health company that's balancing clinical evidence with tech growth.

Cons

Less of a con, more of a heads up to make sure your role is truly valued during the interview process. Try to gauge how much cross-functional buy-in is needed for you to have impact. As with most startups, layoffs happen and if you're struggling to get projects started because there's no internal support, your role is at risk.
