Pros

I have had the opportunity to work as a Professional Services Specialist for a short amount of time due to a lay off, and I must say that it was a rewarding experience. As a member of the team, my role primarily involved working closely with healthcare providers and organizations to successfully implement new healthcare systems and technologies. The healthcare industry is constantly evolving, and the need for seamless implementation of new technologies and systems is crucial. In this role, I was able to utilize my strong technical skills, project management abilities, and healthcare knowledge to ensure a smooth transition for our clients. One of the aspects I appreciate most about this position is the collaborative nature of the work. I had the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, healthcare providers, and administrators. This collaborative approach has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by healthcare organizations and find innovative solutions to address their needs. The company provides comprehensive training and resources to ensure that all team members are well-equipped to handle the complexities of healthcare implementation. The supportive work environment and the guidance from experienced colleagues was instrumental in my professional growth. The healthcare implementation projects can be demanding and require meticulous attention to detail. However, the sense of accomplishment that comes from successfully implementing a new system and witnessing the positive impact it has on patient care is truly rewarding. It is fulfilling to know that my work directly contributes to improving healthcare delivery and outcomes.

Cons

The only area where I believe there is room for improvement is in streamlining communication channels between management and employees. A company wide layoff came about and unfortunately, individuals who weren't even given an opportunity for growth (employed less than 6 months) were all let go without an "evaluation". Personally this was a careless decision, our abilities couldn't have been evaluated because we were so new.

Pros

Worked for them for 7 1/2 years until after COVID, and no one came back to the office. Only 4 people remained in the office, shipping, and IT. After the owners sold them the building, Omnicell canceled the lease and was told that the lease would end in August 2022. I saw it coming after COVID, and no one was in the building. No offer to find other positions in the company. They do cuts all the time when stock prices go down, which is a sign of trouble ahead. Bad MGMT to many Top Dogs

Cons

I'm overworked and underpaid, and I plan to work off the clock at times.
