Pros

1) One Capital offers you the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds in the industry. 2) The office environment is unrivalled in a South African, and in fact, international, context. The workspaces have been designed with every aspect carefully considered and offer all employees a place to work in complete comfort. The business continuity measures in terms of internet connection, backup power and water mean that employees are never disturbed by external factors. 3) Management provide constant support to staff and the open door policy across the organisation allows for easy engagement with the senior people around you. 4) Training and guidance provided to employees is top class. 5) Remuneration levels are well above industry benchmarks and the bonus structure allows for sustainable long-term benefit for employees. 6) A culture of continuous improvement and evolution amongst the team means that all employees are afforded the opportunity to grow professionally and reap the rewards thereof. I could not recommend working at One Capital highly enough.

Cons

I have experienced no "Cons" working at One Capital. Management is very clear during the recruitment and interview process around the expectations of the company, and the broader corporate finance industry. Hard work and hours put in by individual team members are always rewarded.

Pros

- Quite decent salary - Central to the North of Johannesburg - Nice looking offices

Cons

- There is no HR department so all disputes are settled with the employee/manager/director involved - Graduates are subject to a RESTRAINT OF TRADE (which should be illegal because what do they know about the industry - they are just starting out) - The company tends to put quite heavy lock-ins on employees to disencourage them from leaving the company - For four months in a row we were paid late and no communication was made as to why - Directors and management are rude to staff even going as far as using profanity in work-related discussions - Management seems clueless on things that they should be experts at
