Pros
Wages OK for what you do and you can work your own hours. Commission as well. It is also in a central location in Sydney which is easy to get to by train and bus. Good if you need cash when you are at university.
Cons
You sell raffle tickets for various charities as needed. Can be extremely repetitive, especially when targets have not been met and they go through the same list again. Some of the managers try to intimidate staff to get them to sell better. Management can also be very petty about what is allowed at your desk, etc. Phone lists are badly maintained and people that should not be on the list are not deleted. This leads to many unpleasant phone calls. Senior staff are not helpful. Expect speeches at the beginning of a shift to try and rev you up and expect those speeches to fail. Job maybe OK for a little while but it is definitely not a career. Training basic. No sick leave, no holidays.
