Pros
There are some people that originally worked there that truly care about each other, and work to serve Indigenous peoples in the best possible way they can.
Cons
I worked at OneFeather for over 4 years and for the first few years I truly believed in their mission, healthy work culture, with employees that worked together and helped each other. When the CTO was fired - a true ally to the Indigenous community, things started to change and became a lot more corporate, with a ex-Deloitte worker coming on board into the C-suite actively causing friction within the teams. When I was made redundant, I felt a sense of relief that I wasn't working in an environment anymore where new employees felt the need that in order to get ahead, it came at the expense of others. I listened to my Elder Indigenous colleague cry on the phone to me describing the callous way she was let go, and a week later a new employee was hired in her place, taking her position. I'd say be cautious when applying there, and aware of the reality.
