Service really is EVERYTHING - Closing Specialist OneTrust Home Loans Employee Review

Pros

Working with this company over the past 2 years has been a true blessing. Management is always ready to assist, coworkers and team members support one another like a family and the benefits are outstanding. But above all else One Trust see's all of their employee's as actual people instead of just a number behind a screen. After 6 years of working in the mortgage industry, on numerous different closing teams, I can confidently say that I found a company that supports my dreams to continue learning the different aspects of the industry. The Motto here is "Service is everything" and they embody this statement for both the customer/borrower and for the employee's.

Cons

I haven't experienced anything with this company that I would consider to be a "con" or a downfall.

Pros

Overall well managed. Constantly seeking to improve. Compensation is fair.

Cons

DEI needs to go. It's all about merit. No apparent metrics for incentivizing merit with borrower satisfaction scores.

Pros

Challenging and Real Work: The work itself was meaningful, and I was able to resolve technical issues and contribute significantly to ticket closure. Supportive Immediate Supervisors: Direct supervisors were initially appreciative of my overtime efforts and dedication. Opportunity to Gain Experience: Gained hands-on experience in a demanding helpdesk environment.

Cons

No Remote Work Flexibility for Contractors: Despite the role being fully remote-capable, contractors were arbitrarily denied the option—while others in similar positions were allowed to work remotely. Broken Promises of Employment: I was verbally promised a transition to a full-time position, which was later retracted due to vague reasons like “consistency” and minor punctuality issues. Work Ethic Undermined: Despite overtime and high ticket closure rates, my work was questioned due to metrics like entry time, which felt unfair and demotivating. Lack of Appreciation for Extra Effort: Voluntary overtime was overlooked in favor of rigid time logs.
