Pros

*A mission that fires you up* Onebrief solves real, painful problems for the military. You’re helping units make faster, smarter decisions—and that purpose is energizing. It's what I wish I would have had for over 20 years. That matters more than ever in our unpredictable world. *Culture built on trust, not control* Leadership gives you autonomy, clears obstacles, and expects you to run with the ball. If you thrive in ownership-based environments, this is an absolute dream. There are high expectations, but you are well supported to achieve them. *Remarkably aligned, low-ego teammates* Everyone here is sharp, collaborative, and committed to doing things the right way. It’s rare (even in elite military organizations) to see this level of professionalism and humanity in the same place. *Your ideas actually shape the company* In BD you get direct influence on product direction, customer strategy, and how the company grows. There’s no “stay in your lane” mentality—you’re part of the engine and expected to run. *Values you can trust* The company’s decisions consistently match what they say they believe: integrity, mission, and customer impact. That alignment was important to me and the leadership lives by it consistently. It builds real loyalty.

Cons

*You need to be self-directed and hungry* If you require rigid structure or step-by-step guidance, the environment may feel overwhelming. Success here depends on initiative. Feed the wolf.

Pros

its a soft landing for folks coming out of the military. pay is decent considering they don't offer many benefits.

Cons

its a boys club. leadership promotes people without real experience. ai is getting shoved into every project without a way to actually measure success. priorities are constantly shifting in a way that makes employees redundant ... and then they get fired.
