Pros

ONEXTRA worked very hard to navigate out of the Covid years and invest in retaining as many employees as possible. All of our clients have returned and then some as they appreciate the hard work and quality service and product we deliver to them every day. ONEXTRA adopted a mostly work-from-home policy supporting everyone to set up and succeed while working from home.

Cons

While it may be invisible for the work-from-home group the effort management puts in every day to make sure we have work to do and everyone gets paid bi-weekly, plus providing a health benefit program to everyone, but it is true.

Pros

Ability to work remotely and specify availability

Cons

Terrible communications - they will tell you to clear your schedule for training and tell you there are months of work ahead, then cancel the training the day of, and work never materializes. When I did get work, there was a huge pressure to work really really fast. No editing or quality control - stuff I wrote my first day went straight to air, mistakes and all, as they use text to voice.

The media industry remains more volatile today than ever. ONEXTRA does its best to navigate the changing needs of its customers, which has meant pausing investing resources into training as projects end up on temporary hiatus. While it’s unfortunate, we continue to learn from our mistakes for the next round. To that end, our Quality Control and Assurance continues to grow and improve – but we’re not aware of any time a script has been written by someone brand new and gone directly to air without review on either our side or our client’s when deadlines are looming. Quality Assurance is an integral part of our operation, and we work together with our clients to deliver the most efficient quality work we can. As we continue to learn and grow, sharing our process with valued Freelance Staff is something we will continue to expand. Thank you. Paraphrasing and posting conversations and discussions from internal meetings is a potential violation of signed NDAs. Management remains open to feedback and appreciates that interpretation can be extensively varied. Every miscommunication is an opportunity for growth and better communication with our global team, and we thank you for your support and suggestions!
