Pros

I really enjoy working with people on their health/wellness goals. It is nice to be with other coworkers who practice a healthy lifestyle. Decent pay due to being a blue cross company.

Cons

There is an underlying premise that they only hire A players, but this is definitely not the case. If you are out of work and need a job, then land a job here in the short term. But wait, when positions become vacant they aren’t backfilled most of the time. Employee base continues to dwindle, not what you would see at a company in growth mode. They had a history of layoffs – 3 years in a row. Just wait and see what happens this year. If you want to be somewhere stable, look somewhere else. Good people continue to leave and there are not many left. Don’t dare bring up any issues on how to improve or make things better, because you will be criticized to the point of being classified as a “negative” person. I have to settle for mediocrity every day until I can find another job….. This is just my opinion. Before you accept a job here, be sure to ask opinions of the people you will be working with.

Pros

People are great to work with.

Cons

After merging with Pager, the focus has shifted away from the people and more towards making the company the most money.
