Pros

Having been in the professional workforce for many many years, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that OPM offers tremendous flexibility with regard to work hours and time off, there is no micro managing going on as far as times in and out of the office. OPM also offers continuing education on a weekly and monthly basis (DFWSEM and SMCDallas) along with an annual conference, State of Search, not to mention attitude of the leaders that continually work with the employees on a daily basis, teaching and encouraging them to progress in their field. There are also opportunities for professional coaching and all achievements are recognized by management. I was also impressed by the fact that the benefits include short term and long term disability coverage and OPM provides an insurance policy that is available at no cost to the employees. Of course, everyone loves the fully stocked kitchen and fun events that are planned by the Employee Satisfaction Team.

Cons

Can't really think of any other than I wish there was more natural lighting.

Pros

I have freedom, which can sometimes be a negative as I do not always do a lot for my clients.

Cons

As a current employee I can say two things about management: they are hypocrites and crooks. Management likes to talk about, "It's not how a person acts when they're at a company, it's how they leave it" or something along those lines. Yet whenever someone has left, all they do is drag that person's name and reputation through the mud. You're doing the same thing, in essence, to that person! When all that person did was work hard for you each and every day. I feel bad for most people that have left since they have no idea of what management has said about them when they're gone. I've had multiple conversations about my paycheck with management when they've shorted me. It embarrassing to go home to try and explain to my family that I didn't make as much as I should have and there's little to nothing I can do about it. Also I have yet to receive a raise even though I work on some of our best clients. The clients haven't left, even when they've been through multiple transitions. They are also beyond thrilled with their results. When I ask during a "review" I just get beaten down verbally and degraded.
