Pros
The wider team are great to work with. Colleagues in your team will go out of their way to help you as they're often in the same terrible situation as a result of poor senior management. Not all of the engineering teams seem to be in the same bad situation.
Cons
There are systemic problems that are well known (highlighted in anonymous quaterly surveys) within the product department but aren't addressed. Little to no progression to be had in the vast majority of product teams; outside hires preferred. Culture of toxic positivity. Employees encouraged to not discuss salary rises with colleagues.
