Pros
I worked as a hostess at Opa in Walnut Creek and overall it was a really fun environment, especially for a first job in the restaurant industry. The team was friendly and the shifts went by quickly because it was always busy. It taught me a lot about multitasking, customer service, and staying organized during busy nights. The management team was generally supportive and the staff worked well together which made the job enjoyable.
Cons
Like most restaurant jobs, it can get very hectic during peak hours and weekends can be pretty intense.
