Pros

- Good place to start as they offer paid training on their product and services - Excellent restaurant located within the facilities, good prices, and a very nice service!

Cons

- Toxic culture, people don't use to help each other because they are focused on having a good individual performance - Company does not encourage to work as a team, it's all about personal achievements and awards - Very competitive and tense atmosphere, every day it's a battle of egos - Relatively low salaries - They fire for no reason, even employees with long-standing relationships with the company. It is very sad.

Pros

Open is a company of mostly engineers in a multitude of roles. Everyone I've worked with so far has been friendly, brilliant, and full of energy. I'd say Open does really fit the "family work environment" cliche, a lot of people have been working at the company for many years and are welcoming and helpful to newer employees. I've learned a ton during my time here, mostly from my coworkers. Everyone in the company kept their job and salary during the COVID pandemic, which I think is a good sign for the company's health.

Cons

The company culture is laid back, but objective focused. That means that there can be some intense spikes in the amount of work during "crunch time". The company managers that I've worked with, have always been respectful and appreciative of my time and effort, giving me compensation days rest when I've had to work extra hours.

Pros

They might pay you well

Cons

I had a goal to reach by the end of the year and reached it (x2 ) in the first half, after weeks of 16 hour days, lots of travel. Once they realized that they couldn't sell anything else for the foreseeable future, they fired me, no severance, nada. No formal US benefits package. The "Open family" is a joke.
