Pros

Such an inclusive community that cares about their employees and the individuals we serves' well being. Supports staff with upward mobility, most of management came from entry level roles. Has employee trust groups that you can attend to connect with staff with similar geopolitical roles as you, and a monthly care chat. This company has a role for everyone, whether you want to be working in direct care out in the community or if you want to be in admin.

Cons

There are so many qualified applicants for every posted role that I am finding that they are not hiring for higher up roles unless you tick all the boxes and have the exact experience they're looking for. As is common in the Human Services field, pay leaves much to be desired and regardless of if you have years of experience or are just starting, you will get paid the same. Someone who has been in a role or with the company for years will get the same pay as someone who was just hired. If you work in the group homes you will have to come in in the worst weather and even if the house is covid positive or has bedbugs, so the group homes, although an amazing community to work in, aren't always the safest places to work.
