Pros

The best part was the animals, we did great work.

Cons

Worst management I’ve ever had to deal with, they make it physically impossible to do your job right. I was getting treated like crap I went through the proper channels To get it resolved and there were 5 other ppl who complained about the same person I did for the same issue 2 of them quit because of it an I would be the third. They don’t care about you if you aren’t a lead or in a higher position. I’ve worked there for a year and I never had an issue until the manager I had an issue with. The HR department is a joke.

Pros

Great mission, kind co-workers, clean facility, opportunity for growth and love helping animals

Cons

Lots of time on your feet - labor intensive. Expect to work very hard, but it's worth it for the animals.

Pros

Friendly frontline staff Lifesaving work*

Cons

No more snacks provided in breakroom Staffing cuts in core departments to provide staff for new programs Management views "low numbers" as a staff productivity issue and not a support issue YMMV on diversity + inclusion - can't speak on racial issues as I'm not a minority/racialized group. Very poor on LGBTQ+ issues, LGBTQ+ staff experience misgendering and homophobic remarks from other coworkers and the issues get downplayed by managers, and then further downplayed by HR.
