Pros
Opta was a great place to work while I was at university, having such a heavy involvement in football statistics was great for my experience. The work environment was second to none, with various social events during quieter times. Everyone who worked at Opta in the live analysis team was easy to get along with and the work ethic was great. The full-time staff were also very relaxed and sociable.
Cons
As stated in another review, sometimes it was difficult to balance your social life around this job due to the demand of fixtures. With enough time though booking time off was okay, however the trust for someone to cover your shift sometimes did not seem to be there from the management. This was just a part time job, but you would think due to the nature and size of the company (especially Perform) there would be more chance of progression into other areas of the business.
